What the $25,000 fee includes

Full-arch prices are hard to compare because offices bundle them differently. Some quotes cover only the surgery, some leave out the temporary teeth, and some price the final teeth separately. Ours is one fee for one arch, from the implants to the final teeth:

  • The implants. All the implants your arch needs, placed by Dr. Ghorbani in our Burke office. Most full arches rest on four to six implants. Your scan decides the number.
  • The surgery. Placing the implants and attaching your temporary teeth.
  • Temporary teeth. A fixed set of teeth you wear while the implants bond with the bone, so you are not without teeth while you heal.
  • Final zirconia teeth. A non-removable full arch milled from zirconia, a tooth-coloured ceramic chosen for strength and stain resistance, made by a U.S. dental lab and screwed to your implants. You do not take it out at night.

[CONFIRM extrasNote]

The fee is per arch. If you need both the upper and the lower arch, each is priced separately. Our guide to treating one arch or both explains how people decide. Before you compare us with another office, our checklist of what a full-arch quote should include helps you compare like with like.

Who full mouth implants are for

A fixed full arch replaces every tooth in the upper or lower jaw. It is usually considered when:

  • Most of the teeth in one jaw are failing from decay, gum disease or old dental work that can no longer be repaired.
  • You wear a denture that slips, rubs or makes eating hard, and want teeth that stay in place. See switching from dentures to implants.
  • You are missing most of your teeth and want a fixed result rather than a removable one.

It is not right for everyone. Bone volume, gum health, smoking, diabetes control and some medicines all affect whether implants are a safe choice, and in some mouths saving the remaining teeth is the better plan. If teeth can be saved, we will tell you. Our article on options when most of your teeth are failing covers the whole range, and implants with bone loss covers what happens when the jaw has thinned.

How the treatment works

1. Consultation and 3D scan

Dr. Ghorbani examines your mouth and takes a cone beam CT (CBCT) scan, digital impressions and photos. The scan shows the height and width of the bone, the nerves and the sinuses, which decides where implants can go and how many. You leave with a written treatment plan and the fee.

2. Designing your teeth

Your scans go to the dental lab, and the shape, colour, size and fit of your new teeth are planned with you before surgery.

3. Surgery day

Any remaining failing teeth are removed, the implants are placed and your temporary teeth are fitted. Sedation is available so you can be comfortable throughout.

4. Healing

Over the following months the implants fuse with the jawbone. You wear your temporary teeth and eat a softer diet at first. Our guide to living with temporary teeth covers what to expect.

5. Your final zirconia teeth

Once the implants have healed, the lab makes your final zirconia arch and we fit it. The full-arch timeline walks through every appointment.

Why zirconia final teeth

Final teeth for a full arch are usually made from either acrylic on a metal frame or zirconia. Acrylic costs less and is easier to repair, but it wears and stains over time. Zirconia is a dense ceramic that resists staining and wear and does not have the acrylic teeth that can pop off a frame. It is harder to adjust once made and can chip, which is why careful design and bite checks matter. Our comparison of zirconia and acrylic full-arch teeth goes through the trade-offs honestly.

Paying for full mouth implants

We accept CareCredit financing, which lets you spread the cost into monthly payments if you qualify. Dental insurance rarely covers a full arch, but many plans contribute part of their annual maximum, and we file claims for you. Health savings and flexible spending accounts can generally be used for dental implants because they treat a medical problem rather than serving a purely cosmetic purpose. Check with your plan administrator first. Our guide on how to pay for full mouth dental implants covers each option in more detail.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do full mouth dental implants cost at Shield Dental Care?+

$25,000 per arch until [CONFIRM endDate] (regular fee [CONFIRM regularFee]). That covers the implants, the surgery, temporary teeth and final zirconia teeth for one upper or lower arch. Both arches are priced separately.

Is the price for the whole mouth or one arch?+

One arch: the full upper jaw or the full lower jaw. If you need both, each arch is priced separately.

Are the teeth removable?+

No. The final zirconia teeth are screwed to your implants and only your dentist can remove them, for example at a maintenance visit. You clean them in your mouth like natural teeth.

How long does the whole process take?+

The implants are placed and temporary teeth fitted on surgery day. The final zirconia teeth are fitted after the implants have healed, usually a few months later. Your plan will give your timeline.

Am I a candidate?+

Most adults with failing teeth or ill-fitting dentures can be assessed, but bone volume, gum health, smoking and some medical conditions affect the answer. A consultation with a 3D scan decides it, before you commit to anything.

Can I use insurance, CareCredit or my HSA?+

We accept CareCredit financing if you qualify. Insurance rarely covers a full arch but may contribute part of your annual maximum, and we file the claim. HSA and FSA funds can generally be used for implants; confirm with your plan administrator.
